The Festhalle Barn in the heart of the Amana Colonies is a restored century-old dairy barn turned event-venue. With the ability to accommodate up to 500 people, this beautiful, rustic venue is the perfect location for any size event. The Festhalle Barn is available May through October.

Such a beautiful space, we felt welcome by the gentleman helping us. It was wonderful to have Wednesday to Monday for decorating and clean up! We had wind advisory the day of our wedding and they made sure to take the whole day before to make it comfortable for our guests. It was wonderful for us that we could chose our own vendors for food & alcohol (budget wise) - this was a huge struggle when looking for venues! I would recommend this venue to everyone!

We used the Festhalle Barn in Amana, IA as both our ceremony venue and our reception venue. It was just perfect. Dennis, the contact person, was great to work with and always got back to me right away if I had any questions. The real selling point of the barn is that you get it on the WEDNESDAY before your event (if it is on a Saturday) and you don't have to turn in the keys until MONDAY. This made decorating and tearing down so much easier and stress free! I highly, highly recommend the barn to anyone looking for a unique setting for their special day.

I am a wedding planner, and my couple chose the Festhalle Barn in Amana for their ceremony & reception on August 4, 2018. Dennis was great to work with during the booking & planning phases - always promptly answering our questions about the space. During the week of the wedding, we really appreciated the ability to get into the barn early to set up tables, chairs, linens, and decorations. By Friday evening, everything was all set up and ready to go for the rehearsal. On Saturday, it was quite warm in the barn, but we were able to use fans to circulate the air inside the barn, and the lack of A/C didn't bother anyone. The restrooms across the street were adequately stocked and cleaned which was nice. A few moments prior to the guests' arrival to the ceremony, one of our lighting strands went out. Dennis jumped into action to help us change out a fuse, getting on one of the tallest ladders I have ever seen! It was truly a decor 'tragedy averted' because of his fast response and we were so grateful! Thank you Dennis! I can't wait to have another wedding at the Festhalle Barn!
